These grave markers are located in Nelson County, Virginia, just east of the Rockfish Depot off of Rt. 617 on Silver Lane.

Out of curiosity, I checked in the 1850 Nelson County census. This family was seen on August 2, 1850 and the following information was listed:

William Stewardson, age 73 (census and grave marker dates, typically, don't match), "deaf"
Sarah Stewardson, age 57
Jane Stewardson, age 27
Sarah Stewardson, age 22
Samuel Stewardson, age 21
John Stewardson, age 18
Ann M. Stewardson, age 16
Margaret Stewardson, age 14
Cynthia Stewardson, age 13

According to one Stewardson researcher, church records from a genealogy in Little Asby, Westmoreland County England indicate that a William Stewardson was born January 18, 1778, son of James Stewardson II and Margaret Powley. James and Margaret were married November 12, 1767.

I can't verify that this is the same William Stewardson, but it may give researchers some clues to follow.
