Greek Art
This segment of the Timeline of Art focused on the influence that mythology had on Greek art. After watching the segment on Ancient Greece in the "Sister Wendy Story of Painting" video, students read Greek myths from a variety of book, including D'Aulaires' Book of Greek Myths
.
Most students were already familiar with many myths, and they were also knowledgeable about Greek life and customs. Early discussions focused on Greek architecture, statues and pottery.
