Let it Roll
They say the future isn't ours to see--
But you know that it's not even guaranteed.
You never know which day is gonna be your last,
And what's done is done; you cannot change the past.
Today is all you've really got--what have you done?
But are you living right, in case tomorrow comes?
How you gonna spend the time you're given?
Seems that life is meant for living;
No point worrying about the things you can't control--
Just pop the top, shift into high, and let it roll.
And when your troubles come--you know they surely will--
And when it seems the road you're on is all uphill,
Look for the lesson; see if you can understand
And then try to make it better, if you can.
But if you can't, don't let it be a heavy load;
You're still learning--that's the reason for the road.
How you gonna spend the time you're given?
Seems that life is meant for living;
No point worrying about the things you can't control--
Just pop the top, shift into high, and let it roll.
And if it's all gone tomorrow,
Would you say you'd lived it well?
Don't you know, right here on earth
We make our heaven and our hell....
You can choose the way you live
And if tomorrow never comes,
Would you regret the things you did
Or the things you might have done?
You can see the glass half empty or half full;
That's the only thing you really can control.
You can choose to laugh or you can choose to cry,
You can choose to learn, or let it pass you by.
The choice is yours of how you'll hold this precious cup
So find your drive for life and then just drink it up.
So how you gonna spend the time you're given?
Seems that life is meant for living;
No point worrying about the things you can't control--
Just pop the top, shift into high, and let it roll.
Just pop the top, shift into high, and let it roll--
Let it roll!
