It is hereby declared, that I, John Peter Koontz, being of sound mind and understanding, and in view of the uncertainty of life, do acknowledge this my last will. I, John Peter Koontz, give and bequeath to my wife, Maria F. Koontz, and children; J. Victor, F. Marie and R. Emilia; the whole of my real and personal property which I may possess at the time of my death. I name my wife sole executrix of this will and release her from the necessity of giving security. So be it devised in Staunton, Augusta Co. Virginia, November 1887. The above declared will is to be carried out according to its provisions unless I should wish to change it, my own signature follows.
