{"id":935,"date":"2016-04-03T10:22:33","date_gmt":"2016-04-03T14:22:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/art-rageous.net\/artrageousblog\/?p=935"},"modified":"2016-04-03T10:22:33","modified_gmt":"2016-04-03T14:22:33","slug":"supporting-our-local-musicians-april-1-2-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/art-rageous.net\/artrageousblog\/?p=935","title":{"rendered":"Supporting Our Local Musicians &#8211; April 1-2, 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>On Friday night, April 1st, we visited <a href=\"http:\/\/starrhill.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Starr Hill Brewery<\/a>\u00a0in Crozet, VA to catch a bit of the show by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.chamomileandwhiskey.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Chamomile and Whiskey<\/a>, an incredibly talented group of young musicians.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/caEC0oVqyPY?rel=0\" width=\"420\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>On Saturday night, April 2nd, we were at\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.rapunzelscoffee.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Rapunzel&#8217;s<\/a>\u00a0in Lovingston, VA for the show by the &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Blazing.Saddle.Tramps01\/?fref=ts\" target=\"_blank\">Blazing Saddle Tramps<\/a>,&#8221; a Western Swing group.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/wHlv_NMA5iM?rel=0\" width=\"420\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>These are two very different genres\u00a0of music, for sure, but with a fun common denominator: Brenning, the percussionist for Chamomile and Whiskey is the son of Mark, who&#8217;s the drummer for Blazing Saddle Tramps!<\/p>\n<p>Occasionally you&#8217;ll find father and son on stage together, as in this brief clip of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.williede.com\/\">Willie De<\/a>&#8216;s band (featuring Justin Esposito on fiddle), from February 27th at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.prnbrewery.com\/\">Pro Re Nata<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/OwJBaSR0Mx8?rel=0\" width=\"420\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Mark is the drummer for Wayne&#8217;s group,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Peace-Love-Harmony-322691211234497\/?fref=ts\" target=\"_blank\">Peace, Love &amp; Harmony<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/6-Gi4QRqPI4?rel=0\" width=\"420\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>But sometimes Brenning fills in for his dad!<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/PWBDxSXDmFo?rel=0\" width=\"420\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Wayne&#8217;s bass player, Brandon, has his own band called <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Bandsgotswagger\/?fref=ts\">Swagger<\/a>,\u00a0and he also plays bass for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Double-Faces-Gogo-Band-396301487104889\/?fref=ts\">Double Faces Gogo Band<\/a>. \u00a0In the meantime, Rob, the lead guitarist, plays with Peace, Love &amp; Harmony, Swagger, and in a group called <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/BubbaRoseMusic\/\">Bubba Rose<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to Peace, Love &amp; Harmony, Wayne plays with &#8220;Buck Island Bluegrass&#8221;:<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/h5UCAqsABnU?rel=0\" width=\"420\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Wayne\u00a0also does <a href=\"http:\/\/soundaffects.weebly.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">music workshops<\/a> for elderly and disabled adults, and he enjoys going to drum circle gatherings that are organized by Jim (of the <a href=\"http:\/\/dreamtimeproject.com\/about-dreamtime-project\" target=\"_blank\">Dreamtime Project<\/a>\u00a0and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.positive-collective.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">Positive Collective<\/a>):<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/Z0cJqr1RJLA?rel=0\" width=\"420\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>There is SO much amazing music in this area, and so many talented musicians!
