{"id":1700,"date":"2017-02-02T23:30:22","date_gmt":"2017-02-03T03:30:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/art-rageous.net\/artrageousblog\/?p=1700"},"modified":"2017-03-22T10:37:34","modified_gmt":"2017-03-22T14:37:34","slug":"and-the-cats-keep-coming","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/art-rageous.net\/artrageousblog\/?p=1700","title":{"rendered":"And the Cats Keep Coming&#8230;."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I didn&#8217;t trap <em>anyone<\/em>\u00a0last week (sigh&#8230;), and I just haven&#8217;t had the time this week to set the traps out. \u00a0However, I HAVE set up the trail cam a few times. \u00a0Sometimes there&#8217;s been nothing on the camera, but on the evening of February 1st, I got a couple of good pictures:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/art-rageous.net\/artrageousblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/2017-0201-1-LowRes.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1701\" src=\"https:\/\/art-rageous.net\/artrageousblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/2017-0201-1-LowRes-300x240.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"240\" srcset=\"https:\/\/art-rageous.net\/artrageousblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/2017-0201-1-LowRes-300x240.jpg 300w, https:\/\/art-rageous.net\/artrageousblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/2017-0201-1-LowRes-768x614.jpg 768w, https:\/\/art-rageous.net\/artrageousblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/2017-0201-1-LowRes.jpg 864w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m pretty sure that the cat in the foreground is the long-ish haired black kitty. \u00a0If you look closely, it appears that the top of the left ear has been tipped.<\/p>\n<p>But take a look at the cat <em>behind<\/em> her with its perfectly pointy ear&#8230;. \u00a0I&#8217;m wondering if this could be\u00a0the orange kitten that I couldn&#8217;t trap last month (even though I trapped its sister). Could it have grown that much between the last time I saw it and now? \u00a0I&#8217;m not sure&#8230;.<\/p>\n<p>And this picture was <em>also<\/em>\u00a0on the camera:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/art-rageous.net\/artrageousblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/2017-0201-2-LowResolution.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1702\" src=\"https:\/\/art-rageous.net\/artrageousblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/2017-0201-2-LowResolution-300x240.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"240\" srcset=\"https:\/\/art-rageous.net\/artrageousblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/2017-0201-2-LowResolution-300x240.jpg 300w, https:\/\/art-rageous.net\/artrageousblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/2017-0201-2-LowResolution-768x614.jpg 768w, https:\/\/art-rageous.net\/artrageousblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/2017-0201-2-LowResolution-1024x819.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/art-rageous.net\/artrageousblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/02\/2017-0201-2-LowResolution.jpg 1300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>At first I thought it was the gray cat with white socks that I saw last week:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/art-rageous.net\/artrageousblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/2017-0125-04-GrayCat.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1690\" src=\"https:\/\/art-rageous.net\/artrageousblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/2017-0125-04-GrayCat-300x240.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"240\" srcset=\"https:\/\/art-rageous.net\/artrageousblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/2017-0125-04-GrayCat-300x240.jpg 300w, https:\/\/art-rageous.net\/artrageousblog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/2017-0125-04-GrayCat.jpg 720w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>But nope&#8211;the gray kitty doesn&#8217;t have as much white on the side of its face. \u00a0(!)<\/p>\n<p>Weather and time permitting, I&#8217;ll try to set out the traps again a few days next week. \u00a0Based on my pictures and others I&#8217;ve seen, I guess there are at least 4 untrapped cats coming to the feeding station. \u00a0(And yes, I&#8217;m probably naive by saying &#8220;4&#8221;&#8230;)<\/p>\n<p>In the meantime, I&#8217;m trying to find some other boarding students who will be willing to help out with feeding on the weekend. \u00a0The girls who&#8217;ve been doing this for the last few weeks\u00a0have been great, but they&#8217;re teenagers who&#8217;d really <em>love<\/em> to have a weekend &#8220;off&#8221; to sleep until noon!
