I have not been able to find a deed for the property that the cabin is on, and I’m uncertain as to when John William Anderson and his family moved into it. According to census records, it was likely after December 1850, but by August 1860.
At one point the cabin had a separate kitchen attached to the back. The front and rear decks were added in the early 2000s when there were plans to preserve–but renovate–the structure and incorporate it into a modern house.
